A study published in the Journal of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics, after taking yoga 2 or 3 times a week for 10 weeks,11th and 12th grafers were less likely to feel anxious or in a bad mood than students who took a standard gym class. Author of the study Jessica Noggle,PhD. a researcher at Harvard Medical School stated” Yoga may also teach kids to look inside themselves instead of to their peers for acceptance and affirmation,which can lower stress and anxiety.
