The holiday table has been eloquently set and you have been asked to take your seat, before you are forks, knives, and plates. Not sure which one is yours use these simple helpers to make manners easy.
Q: Is that my drink?
Which bread plate is mine?
A. Think b and d. Curl your thumbs and forefingers in to form the letters b and d. The b side ( left) is your bread plate; the d side ( right) is your drink.
Q. Which side of the plate does the fork go on?
A. Think “left” equals “Fork”—put it on the left.
Q. What about the knife?
A. Imagine that the brave knife protects the spoon from the evil fork —- place it on the right side, blade facing in and on guard.
