Heart disease is the #1 killer of women. Women’s heart attack symptoms can be subtler than men’s; women don’t always experience the extreme pressure in the chest that men often feel. Here are the warning signs of heart attacks in women:
* Uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness, or pain in the center of your chest, which lasts more than a few minutes or goes away and comes back.
* Pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw, or stomach.
* Shortness of breath, with or without chest discomfort.
* Nausea or vomiting, light-headedness or fainting, breaking out in a cold sweat.
